“California Dreamin, on such a winters day”. The runway music at Michael Kors fall 2014 could not have summed up this collection more perfectly, as we were reminded with each ensemble of the carefree spirit of the 60’s (with that updated and refined classic Kors twist of course).
Kors Fall collection was full of rich earth tones and loose fluid fabrics that rippled beautifully with each step down the runway. This collection captured everything we loved about the 60’s-from peasant style tops and dresses, long fur coats, and fringe galore. The fringe aspect even carried over to the handbags carried by a few of the models. Although this collection featured mostly womens items, the menswear was impressive as well, with comfortable but stylish sweaters and loose fitting pants.
As typical with any Kors collection, every item was practical and wearable while still reminding you this was indeed “high fashion”. Items fit for a fashionista or for the everyday woman/man.
Kors unveiled over 50 pieces in an ambitious runway show that featured everything from fur to plaid, long and flowing outfits to short and flirtatious ensembles.
